MOTHER-OF-PEARL

Also called nacre, it is the inner layer of a mollusk shell that it secretes to repair damage to its structure or to envelop foreign objects. This is how natural and cultivated pearls are formed. It is worth mentioning that the strong pearly shine or iridescence is highly valued in the jewelry world.
The lustrous shine of mother-of-pearl is much appreciated in the world of jewelry.
