NATURAL gems are those that have been formed in nature WITHOUT THE INTERVENTION of man. Most are of MINERAL ORIGIN but we also find ORGANIC ORIGIN.

CUT
Cut is aimed at drawing out the mineral properties as much as possible: color, transparency, shine, dispersion, weight and special effects. We generally define two cut styles: cabochon cut and faceted cut.
Casi todas las gemas de color existentes en los mercados han sido tratadas en origen para mejorar su color y consistencia. Existen diversos tratamientos, dependiendo de la naturaleza de la gema y el resultado que queremos obtener. La aplicación de calor es muy habitual en gemas transparentes, el teñido para gemas porosas, rellenos de fisuras, impregnación, recubrimiento, irradiación son otros tratamientos.
